What You’ll Do

• Provide specialized nursing care for critically ill patients in the SICU/ICU, including stroke, respiratory failure, sepsis, and post-surgical patients
• Manage ventilators, assist with intubation and extubation, and handle central line (CVL) management/placement
• Administer medications and treatments such as tube feedings, Foley catheter management, and blood glucose monitoring
• Monitor patient conditions, implement care plans, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including hospitalists, PT, OT, and RT
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Support unit operations, including passing a required EKG competency exam

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or a state with reciprocity
• Minimum 2 years of recent, full-time acute care RN experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Skills in stroke care, ventilator management, and invasive line procedures
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam prior to start
• Flexibility to work every other weekend and during major holidays
