Location: San Antonio, TX

Classification: RN-ICU

Shift Detail: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A

  • Quantity:
  • Assignment Length: 13 / 26 weeks
  • Shift/Workdays: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A
  • Weekend – Rotating
  • Call Requirements: No
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Special Skills/Experience required: 2 Years

***All travelers are required to float, while on the interview please inform traveler of the Methodist Floating Policy***

  • Documentation system: Meditech
  • Unit Guidelines:
  • Badging in and out for shift is required along with taking a full 30-minute lunch.
  • Be on time for scheduled shifts (Clock in time 6:38 am/pm, after 6:45 is considered tardy)

 

Hiring profile

Requested Skill Set:

 

Must have: (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role)

 

  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Minimum 2-3 years or more ICU experience
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NIH Stroke Certification

 

Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed: (candidates with these skills will be considered first)

 

  • MICU & MSICU background
  • IABP exposure
  • CRRT exposure
  • Meditech experience preferred

 

Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: (RN)

 

  • ACTIVE TX RN License – TEMP LICENSE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

 

Procedures performed on unit:

 

  • Chest tubes, tracks, GI scopes
  • Intubations, central lines, art lines
  • NG Tubes, Foley Catheters, Dressing Changes

 

Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.

  • Scrub Color
  • RN: Navy-scrub top and pant, Navy or white scrub jacket
  • Nail Policy – Clean and Healthy
  • Hair - hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed
  • Tattoos – Body art should be covered whenever possible. Body art that is not feasible to cover on a daily basis will be addressed individually
  • Piercings – Visible piercings other than ears, is prohibited
