We are seeking aProgressive Care RegisteredNurseor PCU RN, internally referred to as ourProgressiveCareNurse.In the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), thePCU RN or Step-Down RNwill provide specialized care to patients with acute and/or chronic medical conditions who require close monitoring,intervention, and support tooptimizetheir outcomes andfacilitatetheir transition to lower levels of care.

Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
Conduct assessments of patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, respiratory status, and overall clinical stability, you will need tomonitorchanges in patients' conditions and respond promptly to any deterioration
Utilize telemetry and other monitoring devices to continuouslymonitorpatients' cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation levels, blood pressure, and other parameters you must be able to recognize and interpret abnormalities in monitoring data
Administer medications as directed by physicians, encompassing intravenous medications, antibiotics, pain management medications, and cardiac medications, while vigilantlymonitoringpatients for any adverse reactions or side effects
Perform nursing interventions and treatments as ordered by physicians, such as wound care, catheter care, suctioning, and administration of oxygen therapy, which may include assisting with procedures
Adhere to evidence-based practice guidelines, hospital policies, and protocols related to patient care, infection control, and safety
Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1.Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State. 2.BCLS upon hire and maintain current.
3.Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred. 4.ACLS within 30 days of hire and maintained current.
