• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $80.00 $85.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Night (3x12 Hours), shift start time is 7:00 PM with flexibility to start four hours prior to or after posted start time based on limited critical department need
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is a Registered Nurse Telemetry travel contract position (36 hours per week guaranteed) at a healthcare facility in Worcester, MA. The position will support surge/overflow patients, with some floating required within the ED to care for boarder patients. Charting is performed in Epic.

Key Responsibilities

• Support surge/overflow patients on the Telemetry unit
• Float within the ED as needed to care for boarder patients
• Manage and monitor patients requiring chest tubes (preferred experience)
• Implement and maintain spinal precautions
• Operate and monitor PCA pumps
• Provide care for patients with epidurals (preferred experience)
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic

Education Requirements

• MA RN License required
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred

Required Experience

• 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted

Preferred Skills

• Experience with chest tubes
• Experience with epidural management

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend / every other holiday (EOW/EOH)
• Facility allows 1 of the 3 major upcoming holidays in RTO
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed)
• COVID-19 vaccination: Not required
• Night shift position (3x12-hour shifts)
• Some floating within the ED may be required

• A medication exam is required as part of the in-person orientation. It allows 1 attempt only. If the candidate does not pass, the contract is cancelled immediately. Study materials will be provided.
• Candidates must confirm awareness of this pass/fail exam prior to submission.
