Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Duration: 13 Weeks (with possibility of extension)
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 36 hours/week | Rotating days | Every other weekend
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions. The ideal candidate will be experienced in ventilator management, emergency response, and delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary disorders
- Manage ventilators and provide advanced airway support, including intubation assistance and tracheostomy care
- Administer oxygen therapy, inhaled medications, and other respiratory treatments
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases (ABGs), spirometry, and capnography
- Respond to emergency situations including Code Blue and Rapid Response Team (RRT) calls
- Monitor patients during intra-hospital transport
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification
- Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapy License
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of critical care experience
- Experience in acute care or hospital settings
