Description
Responsibilities:
The Respiratory Therapist (RT) will utilize critical thinking skills to assess patients for the appropriate type and frequency of treatment and will develop a plan of care based on a diagnosis in the ICU, ER, and general floors.
The RT will use decisive judgement to implement and monitor patient care plans.
The RT will monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the team and perform advanced Respiratory Care procedures.
The RT will evaluate patient therapy; medications and treatments will be administered based on the patient outcome.
The RT will educate patients and families about the health condition.
The RT will respond to rapid responses and code blue.
The RT must be able to work in a stressful environment and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Current MI license, BLS, and ACLS required. NRP and PALS preferred.
RT could work with patients of all ages, however, the majority of patients are the adult population.
