The team maintains official academic records and provides services that students, faculty, and staff rely on every day, including registration, transcripts, degree audits, academic scheduling, and graduation certification.
Description of Job
The Registrar plays a central role in helping students move through their academic journey, from registration and records to degree completion. CSU Pueblo is seeking a collaborative leader to guide the Registrar's Office, support accurate and equitable practices, and help the university navigate complex academic records and compliance matters.
This is a visible, on-site leadership role. The Registrar works directly with students, faculty, staff, and university leaders to resolve issues, strengthen services, and keep critical operations moving.
What you'll do
Lead the Registrar's Office. Oversee daily operations and supervise the Associate Registrar and Assistant Registrar. Guide hiring, staff development, staffing decisions, and the office budget. Safeguard academic records and compliance. Oversee the integrity, maintenance, and issuance of university records. Ensure compliance with requirements affecting academic records, FERPA, enrollment reporting, transfer, graduation, and international student records. Serve as the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) for SEVP compliance and the primary legal liaison for international student records. Lead reporting, audits, and assessment planning, and represent the office in relevant state and CSU System initiatives.
Guide systems and improvements. Oversee the systems and software that support Registrar's Office functions. Review and approve contracts, renewals, major projects, and changes affecting academic records or compliance reporting, working with campus governance partners as appropriate. Partner with the Associate Registrar on project priorities and operational stability, and help resolve student and staff tickets and prioritize Registrar-related work with CSU System IT.
Be present when complex issues arise. Work directly with students and campus partners on challenging questions involving records, registration, residency, graduation, and compliance. Bring the right people together to resolve issues promptly and maintain continuity of service.
The Registrar also serves on committees and project teams as assigned and performs other duties in support of the Registrar's Office, the Division of Enrollment Management, Marketing, and Extended Studies, and the university.
