Under the supervision of the registration supervisor, the Registrar processes individual seeking health care. This includes interviewing prospective patients, preparing forms and recording, and referring patients to appropriate units. Supervision is not a regular responsibility of the class. This position is part-time, Saturdays at WCHC Mount Vernon.

Essential Duties:

• Conducts client registration interviews, obtaining information to determine payment status eligibility.

• Prepares forms and records.

• Refers patients to the appropriate unit.

• Answers inquiries concerning registration.

• Maintains records and assists in the preparation of reports.

• Submits monthly reports to the Director.

• Cross covers for reception and business office, when needed.

Qualifications:

• Good knowledge of a Health Center organization and procedures.

• Ability to prepare and maintain records.

• Ability to deal courteously, tactfully, and effectively with the public.

• Neat personal appearance.

• Graduation from a standard High School.

• One year of clerical experience or satisfactory equivalent of training and experience.

Pay: $19.81/hour
