REGISTRATION/TITLE CLERK

Charlie Clark Auto Group seeking an experienced Automotive Title Clerk to join our dealership accounting team. If you excel in a fast-paced dealership environment and have strong attention to detail with title processing experience, we want to speak with you. We are looking for a motivated professional who takes pride in accuracy, organization, and meeting deadlines.

Position Summary:

· Processes all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled.

· Prepares tax and title documents.

· Submits all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles.

· Research status of registrations as requested from customers and/or sales staff

· Verifies that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder paid off before processing title applications.

· Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete.

· Reviews, corrects and explains items on Tax Title and License schedules

· Maintains a system to verify titles.

· Compiles and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work. Reports to management on the status of any missing or problem titles and provides status of outstanding titles to your manager.

· Cross-trains others to handle title clerk daily responsibilities.

· Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area.

· Other tasks as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• High School or General Education Degree (GED); and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
