The Rehabilitation Counselor plays a vital role for the Louisiana Department of Health in the Behavioral Health community by utilizing CLSH's values and mission to deliver quality and effective care to our patients. The hospital is highly committed to cooperative work with other state agencies and with the state and regional mental health program to insure the integration and coordination of hospital-community services into a comprehensive system of mental health care.
Central Louisiana State Hospital located in Pineville, Louisiana is seeking applicants for a vacant position in our Activity Therapy Department as a Rehabilitation Counselor who independently provides eligible rehabilitation patients with professional counseling, guidance, training, vocational alternatives, and placement services resulting in gainful employment and/or self-sufficiency.

Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience in rehabilitation counseling plus one of the following:
A bachelor's degree plus one year of experience in rehabilitation services, social services, administrative services, therapy services, or nursing; OR
A bachelor's degree in a rehabilitation field, a social sciences field, social work, education, nursing, health and human services, speech therapy, or business administration; OR
A master's degree.

Compensation: This position has a Minimum Hire Rate of $20.06 hourly ($1604.80 bi-weekly)
Schedule: M-F; 8:00am - 4:30pm
