Rehabilitation Veterinary Technician

We are looking for:Rehabilitation Veterinary Technician

Initial Hiring Range: $24-$29/hour based on skillset and experience

The Rehabilitation department focuses on helping our patients become mobile utilizing physical therapy, water therapy, cold laser therapy and more. This team is perfect for someone who enjoys working with a patient for extended amounts of time, as well as partnering with our clients on continued education to help their pet get better. 

  
What you’ll do: 

• Prioritize caseload and patient care, prepare and review charts for appropriate paperwork, as well as ensure accuratedocumentation 

• Restrain andassist with examinations and therapies 

• Prepare prescriptions, harnessesand needed information for clients 

• Discuss therapies and recommendations, as well as address client questions and concerns 

• Coordinate interdepartmental communication, services, patient transfersand consults 

• Perform and/or assist with patient therapies using multiple modalities including underwater treadmill, laser therapy, chiropractic adjustments, ultrasound, Assisi loop and land therapies 

Who you are: 

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license  

• Prior veterinary experience , previousrehabilitation experience desired 

• Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.) 

• Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary 

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
