The client is a leading provider of electrical engineering solutions, specializing in power system protection and relay settings. They are looking for a full-time Relay Settings Electrical Engineer to join their team in Baton Rouge, LA.
Requirements:
Professional Engineer (PE) License is required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in relay settings and power system protection.
experience with modelling software Aspen, Cape, & E-tap
Hands-on experience with Schweitzer relays (SEL).
Experience with both microprocessor-based and electromechanical relays.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement relay settings for protection systems.
Perform analysis, testing, and troubleshooting of protective relay systems.
Work with Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) relays.
Handle both microprocessor-based and electromechanical relays.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Collaborate with other engineers and field teams to optimize system reliability.
