Job Summary:
The Lakeland Center is seeking two part-time Relief Cooks to join our dietary team. The Relief Cook is responsible for preparing and serving meals in accordance with established menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and cook meals for residents and staff according to daily menus.
- Ensure food is prepared safely and stored properly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food storage areas.
- Follow dietary restrictions and resident preferences as needed.
- Assist with inventory and restocking supplies.
- Collaborate with dietary staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Qualifications: - Previous experience in food preparation or cooking preferred.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
Work Environment:
This position involves standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 lbs, and working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
