Description
Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing organization seeking an entry-level Data Analyst to join its team on a remote basis. This is a great opportunity for an analytically minded early-career professional to turn raw data into insights that shape real business decisions, working closely with cross-functional teams to track performance, spot trends, and support smarter strategy.
Day to day, you will spend time pulling and cleaning data, building reports and dashboards, and translating numbers into plain-language takeaways for stakeholders who may not be data experts. People who thrive in this role are naturally curious, comfortable asking questions until the data makes sense, and just as happy troubleshooting a messy spreadsheet as they are presenting a polished dashboard. It is an ideal fit for someone early in their analytics career who wants mentorship, variety, and a clear path to grow into more senior analytical work.
Responsibilities
Collect, clean, and organize data from multiple internal and external sources
Build and maintain recurring reports and dashboards using tools like Excel and SQL
Analyze trends and patterns to support business and operational decisions
Collaborate with team members across departments to understand data needs
Present findings in clear, digestible formats for non-technical stakeholders
Monitor key performance metrics and flag anomalies or areas of concern
Assist in developing and documenting data quality standards and processes
Support ad hoc analysis requests from leadership and other teams
Help maintain data integrity across shared systems and databases
Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting tools and workflows
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, economics, business, or a related discipline
Up to one year of experience in a data, analytics, or reporting role, internships included
Working knowledge of Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and basic modeling
Familiarity with SQL or a strong willingness to learn quickly
Exposure to data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting data to varied audiences
Detail-oriented approach with solid organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting deadlines
Curiosity and a genuine interest in problem-solving with data
