Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Nonprofit Project Coordinator for a mission-driven consulting organization dedicated to creating stronger, more equitable communities through community-driven transformation and systems change. The organization partners with nonprofits, community organizations, public health and social service systems, academic institutions, and other changemakers to address complex challenges in areas including health equity, behavioral health, early childhood, trauma-informed care, and inclusive environments. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that strengthen organizations, elevate community voices, advance equity, and help create systems where people and communities can thrive. This is a fully remote temporary opportunity open to candidates based in Oregon, Washington, California, Texas, Idaho, Illinois, Colorado, Wisconsin, Ohio, Florida, or Arizona, with the majority of working hours falling between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Central Time.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Nonprofit Project Coordinator will provide hands-on coordination and administrative support across multiple social impact projects focused on areas such as health equity, inclusive environments, and equitable evaluation. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, service-minded professional who enjoys organizing information, conducting research, coordinating virtual programs, and helping mission-driven teams turn ideas into action. The position is anticipated to last approximately 6 to 9 months, with the potential opportunity to pursue a permanent position with the organization in the future.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate project tasks, deadlines, outreach, participant information, contacts, decisions, and follow-up across ClickUp, Microsoft Teams, Excel, and other tracking systems.
• Conduct online research to identify organizations, partners, funders, audiences, contacts, resources, webinars, and other information relevant to project goals.
• Take notes and synthesize information into concise, actionable summaries while supporting outreach communications, social media content, participant updates, and customer service inquiries.
• Coordinate ongoing engagement with project participants, partners, networks, and learning communities while proactively identifying outstanding tasks and needed follow-up.
• Coordinate virtual meetings and events, including scheduling, registration, attendance tracking, surveys, participant materials, and testing of virtual event tools.
• Serve as a technical host for virtual programs by managing Zoom functions, supporting presenters, monitoring participant needs, and troubleshooting basic technical issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Familiarity with public health or social services and an interest in supporting mission-driven work focused on equity, inclusion, and community impact.
• Experience coordinating projects, programs, partners, participants, or stakeholders, ideally within a nonprofit, social impact, public health, social services, health equity, or consulting environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a warm customer service approach and the ability to turn information into clear, concise summaries and correspondence.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, research skills, and ability to manage competing assignments while proactively identifying gaps and necessary follow-up.
• Comfortable learning and using digital tools such as project management platforms, CRM databases, Zoom or webinar technology, online forms, and content management systems. Experience with ClickUp, Zoom, or WordPress is a plus.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This temporary position offers a pay rate of $28-$30 per hour. In addition to hourly compensation, Scion Staffing temporary employees are eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, and other offerings, subject to eligibility requirements.
