Strategic Modeling TeamDisciplines: Engineering, Computer Science, MathematicsThe Strategic Modeling Team develops next generation simulators to aid the Upstream Division in improving hydrocarbon recovery and discovery. Their work encompasses numerical methods, software development, and high-performance computing.

  • Student Tasks
    • Implement new physical models into Aramco’s next-generation massively parallel reservoir simulator.
    • Profile simulation code to identify performance critical regions and work with researchers to improve performance.
    • Develop and test front-end GUI elements for simulator input creation.
    • Perform validation of simulator results by comparing to industry standard results.
