Internship Opportunity: Research and Policy Intern

Overview: Join the Research and Policy Department at Anthropocene Alliance as a Research and Policy Intern, where you will play an important role in advancing environmental justice initiatives. This internship offers a unique opportunity to engage with data-driven research and policy analysis, supporting efforts to build the capacity of communities on the frontlines of climate change.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in conducting research on environmental justice issues and their impact on underserved communities.
Support the development of policy recommendations based on research findings.
Collaborate with the Community Organizing team to provide research insights that inform grassroots advocacy efforts.
Participate in data collection and analysis, ensuring the validity and integrity of information.
Help prepare reports, presentations, and outreach materials for community engagement and advocacy.
Attend team meetings and contribute to discussions on ongoing projects and initiatives.
Assist in organizing workshops and educational sessions for community members.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Environmental Studies, Public Policy, Social Justice, Data Science, or a related field.
Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools is a plus.
Passion for environmental justice and community building.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote team setting.
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with the role of data centers in environmental justice is a plus.
