An established Oral Health Disparities Group and the School of Dental Medicine (SODM) is looking for a qualified person to fill a Research Associate position. The candidate will be responsible for activities related to federally sponsored research, assist in training of study staff in qualitative and quanititative research methods, data management and maintain the protocol and manual procedures. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of the funded grants including recruitment, data collection, management and retention activities, as well as preparing scientific reports. This individual will closely collaborate with the principal investigaror and co-investigator to formulate and define intergrated data systems for multiple funded oral health disparities projects. The responsibilities of the position also include maintaining collaborative relationships with faculty, investigators, centers, community partners, stakeholders, and other academic and clinical institutions. We seek a highly motivated and dependable individual to expand the mission of SODM research and pursue scholarly activities. The Research Associate will also contribute to and author manuscripts, prepare grant submissions, develop presentations for funding agencies and present research to external bodies.
The annual starting base salary range for this position is from $56,000 to $61,000. CWRU considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity. Qualifications include a PhD in any of these areas: Epidemology, Statistics, Public Health, Health Psychology or a related field.
Qualifications include but are not ilimited to a strong background in epidemiology, statistics, social or behavior sciences, or public health. Knowledge of REDCap, REDCap custom modules, REDCap API, Tableau, SAS SPSS and/or R is highly desirable. A strong background in qualitative and quantitative methodologies, the design and conduct of clinical research/clinical trails, building and managing data mangement systems including routine quality control of data and report generations is highly desirable.
