Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Grousbeck Gene Therapy Center at Mass Eye and Ear has an open position for a Research Assistant to assist in the application of novel gene therapy modalities. The Center provides a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment that pursues the common goal of developing therapeutic gene transfer in future medicine.
We are seeking a Research Assistant to join the Gene Transfer Vector Core within Grousbeck Gene Therapy Center. The primary responsibilities will include AAV vector production, purification, and quality control to support preclinical research projects. Experience with molecular biology, cell culture, or viral vector production is preferred. Familiarity with standard laboratory techniques and maintaining accurate experimental records is desirable. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects are essential. A bachelor's degree in biology, biotechnology, molecular biology, or a related field is required.

Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Candidates who are in the process of completing their bachelor's degree have a grace period of six months from their hire date (up to 1 year if starting per diem) to provide degree equivalency verification.
