    Position Summary

We currently seek a talented and self-motivated team member looking to grow and contribute to a highly collaborative laboratory environment. The ideal applicant will have a solid foundation in several applicable skill sets and should be eager to grow and learn new areas of the lab's work. This position will support various research and coordination activities within the center.

The Tracy Family SILQ (Stable Isotope Labeling Quantitation) Center, co-directed by Miranda E. Orr, PhD, and Randall J. Bateman, MD, uses spatial biology, mass spectrometry and other novel methods to discover biomarkers of aging, Alzheimer's disease, and related neurodegenerative disorders. The center was established to help develop labeled-protein approaches across different disease areas and accelerate progress toward better diagnostics and therapeutics, building on earlier success using this approach in Alzheimer's disease research. This work supports researchers studying and validating biomarkers of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, with the goal of identifying new drug targets and developing better diagnostic and prognostic tests. Current projects in the center span several ongoing research initiatives. This role may include support coordination across these projects, including tracking timelines, documentation, organization, communication among team members and vendors, and working alongside staff.

The SILQ Center seeks to provide a supportive environment to foster scientific growth and personal development. We are committed to the highest standards of scientific integrity and are motivated to solve challenging biomedical questions to pave the way for development of improved tests and treatments for neurodegenerative diseases.
