Perform Mouse Echocardiography and Data Acquisition:
- Design and conduct transthoracic echocardiographic imaging protocols for mouse models using Vevo ultrasound systems.
- Acquire and troubleshoot 2D, M-mode, Doppler, and strain imaging data across varied experimental conditions.
- Monitor animal condition during imaging and determine when procedures require modification to maintain protocol compliance.
- Maintain imaging records and experimental documentation to support reproducibility and audit readiness.
Image Analysis:
- Analyze complex echocardiographic imaging data to characterize cardiac structure and function.
- Develop and apply quality control criteria for imaging datasets.
Data Interpretation:
- Interpret imaging results in the context of current literature to inform investigators of study significance.
- Generate reports and summaries that communicate findings to investigators.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of cardiovascular physiology and cardiac anatomy.
- Knowledge of ultrasound imaging principles and echocardiographic techniques.
- Skill in performing and analyzing small animal echocardiography.
- Ability to interpret cardiac functional and structural measurements.
- Proficiency with image analysis software and data management tools.
- Ability to maintain accurate research records and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research environment.
- Knowledge of animal welfare regulations and laboratory safety procedures.
