Position overview
The Yale Digital Health Lab is seeking a motivated software developer to help support and enhance technology that protects vulnerable populations and improves healthcare operations.
A primary focus of this position is developing and supporting secure, production web applications used in healthcare, public-service, and research settings. Projects include digital health platforms, workforce and licensing applications, clinical research technologies, and innovative software that improves public services and protects vulnerable populations. The developer will also have opportunities to contribute to digital health research involving elder-mistreatment screening, electronic informed consent, and clinical research tools. Rather than working on a single application, the successful candidate will contribute across multiple software platforms, gaining experience with enterprise web development, digital health technologies, secure data systems, and emerging AI-enabled solutions.
Working with investigators, researchers, designers, and technical partners, the developer will help maintain existing applications, develop new functionality, investigate technical issues, and support reliable software deployment. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career developer seeking meaningful, hands-on experience at Yale while building software with measurable public impact.
