Residential and Commercial Painter

Position SummaryA Painter at Fresh Coat Painters of Metro Chicago is responsible for delivering high-quality residential and commercial painting services while upholding our standards for craftsmanship, professionalism, safety, and customer experience. Painters are expected to follow established SOPs, work efficiently as part of a team, and treat customers’ homes and properties with care and respect.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform interior and exterior painting tasks including prep, painting, and cleanupFollow Fresh Coat painting SOPs, safety procedures, and quality standardsProperly prepare surfaces (masking, sanding, patching, priming, caulking, etc.)Apply paint, coatings, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and sprayersProtect customer property, furniture, flooring, and landscapingMaintain a clean and organized job site dailyCommunicate respectfully with customers and team membersUse required tools, equipment, and PPE properlyTake before, during, and after photos as requiredReport issues, concerns, or change needs to the Lead PainterRepresent the Fresh Coat brand professionally at all timesRequired Skills & Qualifications2 + years of professional painting experience preferredKnowledge of basic painting techniques and materialsAbility to follow instructions and SOPs consistentlyReliable transportation to job sitesAbility to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work on feet for extended periodsStrong work ethic and attention to detailPunctual, dependable, and coachableWhat Success Looks LikeJobs completed to Fresh Coat quality standardsMinimal callbacks or touch-upsPositive customer feedbackConsistent attendance and reliabilityStrong teamwork and professionalismPreferredPrior residential or commercial painting experience.Familiarity with PCA standards or professional trade experience.Experience working in customer-occupied homes or commercial spaces.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and perform repetitive motions.Ability to work at heights and in varying environmental conditions.Ability to safely handle tools, ladders, and painting equipment.Work EnvironmentResidential and commercial job sites.Indoor and outdoor work environments.Exposure to paint, solvents, and construction materials with proper PPE.Why Join Fresh Coat?Consistent work with a growing, professional painting company.Team-oriented culture with clear standards and expectations.Opportunity for skill development and advancement.Pride in delivering high-quality results to customers.
