Compensation

Shepherd's Gate is seeking a talented Residential Assistant to join the Livermore team part-time. This position pays $20.00 per hour for the overnight shift/ $22.00 per hour when working day/evenings shifts.

Job Description

As a Residential Assistant, you will support, encourage, and pray with the women and children in the program. You will demonstrate values and the heart of Jesus in a Christ-centered community. You will ensure the home is safe, structured, and aligned with program guidelines. You will help the women stay on track with their goals, leading with grace and accountability. You will foster healthy connections while maintaining strong personal and professional boundaries.

Essential Job Duties

The ideal candidate is capable, motivated, and willing to learn and grow as the position evolves. As a Residential Assistant- Livermore, you must be able to:

• Provide spiritual and Biblical guidance by encouraging and praying with women, children, staff, and volunteers
• This is an overnight, primarily sleeping position with a set schedule of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 PM to 6 AM. Occasionally supporting other shifts
• Responsible for securing the facility and setting alarms on all buildings
• Ability to supervise and hold the residents accountable for their program goals and assigned tasks
• Ability to appropriately accept feedback through the supervision process, thus displaying the willingness to learn, grow, and improve
• Responsible for adherence to standards, procedures, documentation, and schedules established by their supervisor
• Occasionally responsible for attending scheduled meetings and training as required
• Occasionally drive residents to appointments (company vehicle provided)
• Ability to support the ministry’s culture, growth, and success through communication, accountability, and positivity
• Adherence to Mandated Reporter policy and procedures

Minimum Requirements

• A personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• Teachable, flexible, and eager to grow
• Able to work a varied schedule
• Polite and professional behavior
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license (3+ years) and clean driving record
• Applicants for this position must be able to provide a negative drug test result.
• Applicants will be subject to a background check

Physical and Working Conditions

• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job
• Occasionally working in high-stress situations
• Occasionally able to lift up to 30lbs and must be able to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position
• Occasionally working in emergency situations
• Occasionally working alone
• Overnights and weekends
• Able to ascend and descend stairs
