Residential CDL Route Driver

Kahut Waste Services , a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Class B CDL Driver to join our team in Clackamas & Canby, Oregon .


Schedule Monday-Friday


Shift 5:30 AM until the route is completed. This route typically averages about 45 hours a week.


Starting wage is $36.00/HR .

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


+ In this position you will be operating an automated side load vehicle on specified routes depending on business needs.

+ Ability to safely service customers throughout the day, completing up to 900 stops per day.

+ Ability to read route tablet and service each customer identified on the route tablet or assigned by the dispatcher.

+ Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.

+ Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.

+ Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash/recycle at designated facilities.

+ Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.


WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:


+ Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting (50+ pounds), pushing, or pulling required of objects over 100 pounds.

+ Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.

+ The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.


REQUIREMENTS:


+ Minimum of 1-year commercial driving experience utilizing a Class B license REQUIRED

+ Minimum of 2-years commercial driving experience utilizing a Class B license PREFERRED

+ Stable work history (at least 2 years in most recent position)

+ Excellent customer service and communication skills

+ Clean driving record and compliance with DOT regulations (49 CFR 383.51)


+ Ability to handle the physical demands of the job

+ Position requires clean drug panel screening, clean motor vehicle report and eligible criminal background check to be eligible for employment.
