Overview

Join a growing electrical team focused on new construction and reconstruction residential projects throughout the Chicagoland area. You'll work on medium to large-scale residential jobs from rough-in to final finish, installing and wiring electrical systems in new homes and apartment buildings. Responsibilities

• Install and wire electrical systems in new construction homes and apartment buildings
• Perform rough-in, trim, and final electrical work
• Run conduit and pull wire for residential electrical systems
• Bend conduit (up to 1") and install raceways
• Read blueprints and electrical drawings
• Work with 120V, 240V, and 480V systems
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs
• Support new construction and reconstruction projects from start to completion
• Work alongside journeymen, apprentices, and helpers to keep projects on schedule
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Travel to job sites throughout the Chicagoland area as needed

Essential Skills

• Experience with residential new construction electrical work
• Ability to independently complete electrical installations from rough-in through finish
• Experience running conduit and pulling wire
• Conduit bending experience (up to 1")
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical plans
• Experience working with 120V, 240V, and 480V systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Reliable transportation to job sites
• Must have your own hand tools, cordless tools, tool pouch, and conduit benders

Work Environment

This is a field-based position on active residential construction sites throughout the Chicagoland area. Work includes indoor and outdoor tasks, physical labor, and exposure to typical construction site conditions. You'll be working on medium to large residential projects with a collaborative team focused on quality workmanship and safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
