Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Springfield is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Residential Plumbing Technician who takes pride in both technical craftsmanship and customer service. This role is ideal for a plumber with at least 2 years of residential plumbing experience who understands that great service is just as important as great plumbing work.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair residential plumbing systems and fixtures
- Install water heaters, faucets, drains, disposals, toilets, and piping systems
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues efficiently and provide clear solutions to homeowners
- Perform routine maintenance and service calls
- Educate customers on repair and replacement options without high-pressure sales tactics
- Maintain accurate job notes, invoices, and service records
- Ensure all work meets local plumbing codes and company quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance at every jobsite
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience from arrival to completion
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of residential plumbing experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of residential plumbing systems, repairs, and installations
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift equipment and work in crawlspaces, attics, and confined areas
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications
- Plumbing license or certification preferred (not required depending on experience)
- Experience with service software or mobile dispatch systems
- Strong upselling and customer education skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced residential service environment
