Job Description

Join our dynamic team in Minneapolis, MN, a vibrant city known for its cultural attractions, beautiful parks, and friendly community. We are seeking a dedicated professional for a rewarding opportunity in Respiratory and Neuro Diagnostics.

Position Details

  • Shift: 3x12 Nights 1830-0700. Occasional day shift coverage as needed.
  • Experience Required: Minimum 2 years RRT and 1 year ECMO Specialist.
  • First-timers accepted with at least 1 year ECMO specialist experience.
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
  • Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, RRT, and State License.
  • On-call: Not required.
  • Floating: Will float within scope to meet facility needs.
  • Block Schedule: Discuss schedule requests with manager.
  • Locals: Must live more than 100 miles from facility to apply.
  • Pending License: Accepted but must be active at start.
  • RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days.
  • Guaranteed Hours: Client may cancel up to 3 shifts at any time without penalty.

Special Requirements

  • Required Work Setting Experience: Adult Critical Care.
  • Airway Management Devices/Suctioning Skills: Endotracheal tube/suctioning, Extubation, Intubation Assist, Nasal airway placement, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oropharyngeal/suctioning, Pulmonary Hygiene, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy/suctioning.
  • Care of Patient With: ARDS, Aspiration, Bronchoscopy, COVID, ECMO, Fresh tracheostomy, Pneumonia.
  • Medication Administration Skills: Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled Flolan, Inhaled steroids, Mucomyst, Nitric Oxide (INo), Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Tobramycin, Xopenex.
  • Medication Delivery System Skills: Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach.
  • Nebulizer Skills: Cold, Hand held, Heated, Ultrasonic, T-piece, Trach collar.
  • Oxygen Therapy Skills: Bag and mask, ET Tube, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Portable Oxygen tank, Protocol Driven ECMO, T-Piece, Trach collar.
  • Arterial puncture experience required.
  • Ventilator Management Skills: BiPAP, CPAP, Patient Transport (inter-departmental and ambulance transport), SIMV, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation.
  • Professional Knowledge and Skills: ABG interpretation, Chest Physiotherapy: Vest, Chest Physiotherapy, Drawing arterial blood gases.
