The cancelled shifts must be the regular shift length to which the Contractor Personnel is assigned Special Requirements: Epic experience Airway Management Devices/Suctioning required: Endrotracheal tube/suctioning, Extubation, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oropharyngeal/suctioning, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy/suctioning Medication Administration required: Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Inhaled Flolan, Inhaled steroids, Lidocaine, Nitric Oxide (INo), Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Xopenex Medication Delivery Systems: Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach, Metered dose inhaler Nebulizer required: Hand held, T-piece, Trach collar, Ultrasonic Oxygen Therapy required: High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) Ventilator Management: BiPAP, CPAP, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation ABG interpretation required BJH is a teaching hospital, occasionally you may be asked to precept respiratory therapy students. Top 3 skills: The ability to care for and treat patients with acute and chronic respiratory diseases is a must. Must be comfortable managing mechanically ventilated patients. BJH has a large campus so the ability to walk relatively long distances is important. Must have RRT credentials, BLS, Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner License Strongly preferred: Active AARC membership, a bachelor s degree or higher in any field of study or be actively working towards their bachelor s degree.
