All Saints Sub Acute & Nursing is looking for a compassionate and skilled Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our dedicated clinical team. In this role, you will provide specialized respiratory care to residents with pulmonary disorders and respiratory conditions while working alongside an interdisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional, resident-centered care.

Position Summary

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assessing, treating, and monitoring residents with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions. This position plays a key role in providing therapeutic interventions, pulmonary rehabilitation, diagnostic evaluations, and ongoing respiratory care in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.

What You'll Do

• Assess residents to identify respiratory care needs and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Administer respiratory treatments, oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other prescribed pulmonary interventions.

• Monitor residents for changes in respiratory status and promptly communicate concerns to physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.

• Perform respiratory assessments and document findings accurately and thoroughly.

• Assist with pulmonary rehabilitation and patient education when appropriate.

• Operate, monitor, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment while ensuring proper infection control practices.

• Respond appropriately to respiratory emergencies and provide critical respiratory support as needed.

• Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation, dietary, social services, and other departments to provide coordinated resident care.

• Follow all federal, state, and facility policies related to respiratory care, infection prevention, resident safety, and HIPAA compliance.

• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all treatments and resident responses.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist (RT) license or certification in good standing, as required by California regulations.

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

• Previous experience in skilled nursing, sub-acute care, long-term care, or acute care is preferred.

• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

• Knowledge of respiratory equipment, infection control standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
