Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Southfield, MI 48075
Type: Contract
Shift: Nights 7p-7:30a
Job Summary:
- Under general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, delivers life-support, resuscitation, monitoring and various medical gases therapy to patients.
- Performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures to Intensive Care and General Practice Units patients.
- Maintains clinical expertise for Departmental assignments at various business units throughout, as assigned.
- Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians and other system employees as needed, regarding patient care needs.
- Adequately documents all aspects of patient care.
- Supervises, directs and delegates to Respiratory Therapists, Respiratory orients, externs and students, as assigned.
- Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information. null
- 2+ years experience as a respiratory therapist.
- Associate of Science Degree.
- Current ARRT or NBRC registration.
- Current RT licensure.
- BLS certification from AHA.
- Neonatal intensive care experience would be a plus but it is not required.
- Experience working in a Trauma Level 2 facility would be a plus but it is not required.
