Oversees the day to dayoperation of staff and the delivery of all clinical services.Assists with inservice education ofdepartment staff and other institutional personnel.Assists with all state, Federal, CARF andJCAHO regulations and quality assurance programs in the department and ensurescompliance. Will participate on committees and with the respiratory programclinical rotation.Will also providedirect patient care and share with on call for department, and other duties asrequired.
Possession of alicense and current registration as a respiratory therapist in New York State,and three years of post-licensure experience in the administration ofrespiratory services and treatment of patients in a nursing home facility orhospital setting, one year of which must have been at a supervisory level. Abachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy may substitute for one year of thegeneral experience requirement.
