Respiratory Therapy ManagerLocation: On-site at Glendive Medical Center | Glendive, MT Employment Type: Full-Time | Exempt | Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pmGlendive Medical Center is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapy Manager to lead our Respiratory Therapy team and oversee daily operations. This role combines hands-on leadership with operational oversight to support staff, maintain high standards of patient care, and ensure the department runs effectively.What You'll DoLead, support, and develop Respiratory Therapy staff.Oversee daily workflow, staffing assignments, and department operations.Hire, train, evaluate, and manage the performance of team members.Build strong working relationships and communication across the organization and with external partners.Prioritize, schedule, assign, and monitor work to support efficient operations and quality patient care.Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and participate in evaluating equipment for purchase.Develop and implement department policies and procedures consistent with GMC policies.Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives, using trends, needs, and staff input to guide improvement efforts.Ensure staff understand and follow organizational and department safety plans.Lead team members toward department goals and objectives through clear communication, guidance, and training.Participate in committees and task forces as needed.Assist with implementing new procedures and department initiatives.What We're Looking ForStrong knowledge of Respiratory Therapy standards and principles.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of applicable health and safety requirements related to Respiratory Therapy.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational and time management skills.Critical thinking skills and sound judgment.Ability to work independently and respond appropriately in a fast-paced environment.Ability to adjust priorities and workload to meet department needs.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Education & ExperienceGraduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program.Current Montana Respiratory Care license required.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Minimum of two years of related healthcare experience with supervisory or management experience, including personnel, budgets, capital, and physician relations.Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association recommended.Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association recommended.Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification through the American Academy of Pediatrics.Physical RequirementsAbility to sit for prolonged periods while working at a computer.Ability to stand, bend, and reach for prolonged periods.Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceEmployer-paid life insurance and disability coverage401(k) with company matchPTO, extended illness, and holiday payOptional additional benefitsWhy Join Glendive Medical Center?At GMC, you'll be part of a dedicated healthcare team serving patients across eastern Montana and western North Dakota.
