Murl s Kitchen is seeking a friendly, professional, and highly organized Host/Hostess to join our growing team as we expand into an elevated, full-service Caribbean dining experience.

As the first point of contact for our guests, the Host/Hostess plays an essential role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.

We are looking for someone who is personable, confident, detail-oriented, and passionate about hospitality. The ideal candidate understands the importance of making every guest feel welcomed and valued while maintaining an organized and efficient front-of-house operation.

• Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, providing a positive first impression of the restaurant.
  

• Manage guest seating, reservations, and waitlists to ensure an organized and efficient dining experience.
  

• Coordinate seating arrangements to maintain balanced server sections and smooth service flow.
  

• Answer incoming phone calls, respond to guest inquiries, and provide accurate information about restaurant hours, reservations, and menu offerings.
  

• Communicate estimated wait times and manage guest expectations professionally.
  

• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
  

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance, waiting area, and other designated front-of-house spaces.
  

• Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management regarding reservations, seating, and guest needs.
  

• Accommodate special requests and communicate guest preferences or concerns to the appropriate team members.
  

• Assist in resolving guest concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
  

• Support opening and closing procedures and other front-of-house responsibilities as needed.
  

• Maintain a polished, professional appearance and uphold the restaurant's hospitality standards.
  

• Add: assist with takeout/online orders
  

• Previous host/hostess, customer service, or restaurant experience preferred but not required.
  

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  

• Friendly, welcoming, and professional demeanor.
  

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  

• Ability to multitask and remain composed during busy service periods.
  

• Ability to manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow efficiently.
  

• Familiarity with restaurant reservation systems and POS technology is a plus.
  

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with a team.
  

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
  

• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
