Cook Job Summary

We are seeking a service-oriented cook to join our growing team. In this position, you will play a key role creating great food and an environment where customers are satisfied and happy to return.   You will contribute to the overall success of the business.

Cook Duties and Responsibilities

·      Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh

·      Help create & follow recipes, including measuring and mixing ingredients

·      Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods

·      Present, garnish and arrange final dishes that are pleasing to customers

·      Occasionally serve food

·      Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes

·      Handle and store ingredients and food

·      Maintain food safety and sanitation standards

·      Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils

·      Execute opening and closing procedures

·      Set up workstations with required ingredients and equipment

·      Check the quality and freshness of ingredients

·      Make menu suggestions based on volumes of meals prepared

·      Help create a positive environment for all team members

Cook Qualifications

·       Outgoing personality with a love of people and working in the service industry

·       Relevant work experience

·       Willing to work agreed upon nights, weekends and holidays

·       Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and stay cool under pressure

·       Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel through shift; able to carry 10 or more pounds of supplies
