- Taking orders from customers and communicating order details to the kitchen staff
- Performing basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, steaming rice, etc
- Updating menu boards with daily specials, upcoming events, and other information relevant to customers
- Explaining menu items and answering questions about preparation methods or ingredients
- Setting tables with linens and silverware and providing condiments such as salt, pepper, and sugar packets
- Delivering food to customers’ tables in a timely manner and ensuring that orders have been accurately prepared
- Prepping serving at special events
