Restaurant Technician

Job Description:

The Restaurant Technician is responsible for the overall maintenance, repair, and optimal functioning of all kitchen and dining area equipment across our restaurant locations. This role ensures a safe and efficient environment for both staff and customers.Job Responsibilities:* Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of restaurant equipment, including but not limited to fryers, griddles, ovens, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, coffee machines, and POS systems.* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues affecting kitchen and dining equipment.* Execute timely repairs to minimize downtime and disruption to restaurant operations.* Install new restaurant equipment and systems as required, ensuring proper setup and calibration.* Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and hours worked.* Order and manage inventory of spare parts and tools necessary for repairs.* Provide technical support and training to restaurant staff on basic equipment operation and troubleshooting.* Respond to emergency repair calls outside of regular business hours when necessary.* Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or installations.* Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.Job Qualifications:* High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, or plumbing preferred.* Proven experience (3+ years) in a maintenance or repair role, specifically within a restaurant, hospitality, or commercial kitchen environment.* Strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aptitude.* Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment.* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.* Ability to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
