Retail Operations Associate

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing retail organization in the Atlanta area, for a Retail Operations Associate to help keep store operations running smoothly and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced retail environment and wants to build a career in operations, inventory, and store management.

Day to day, you will split your time between the sales floor, stockroom, and back-office tasks, supporting everything from inventory counts to visual merchandising to customer service. People who thrive in this role are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities while keeping a positive, team-first attitude on a busy retail floor.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations including opening and closing procedures
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular counts and audits
• Process incoming shipments and ensure timely stocking of merchandise
• Assist with visual merchandising and maintaining store presentation standards
• Operate point of sale systems and process customer transactions accurately
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner
• Collaborate with store management on loss prevention and safety procedures
• Assist in training new team members on operational procedures
• Prepare daily and weekly operational reports for store leadership
• Help coordinate scheduling and staffing needs during peak periods

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One or more years of experience in retail or customer service preferred
• Comfortable using point of sale and inventory management systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds during shifts
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Basic proficiency with computers and common office software
