About the Role:Cheshire Pharmacy is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Retail Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Cheshire, CT! Responsibilities:- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Process and verify prescription orders, including data entry into pharmacy management systems
- Handle insurance billing, prior authorizations, and resolve claim rejections
- Provide excellent customer service at the pharmacy counter and over the phone
- Maintain and organize pharmacy inventory, including receiving and stocking medications
- Prepare prescription labels and package medications in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Support daily pharmacy operations to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
Requirements:- Active Connecticut Pharmacy Technician registration or ability to obtain one
- Previous retail or compounding pharmacy technician experience preferred
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and prescription processing systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a high-volume environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced retail pharmacy setting
- PTCB or NHA certification (CPhT) is a plus
