Fragmented Nostalgia is hiring a seasoned retail sales professional for our Maplewood store. You already know how to work a sales floor, and we won't need to teach you that. Your job is to bring customers through the door and turn visits into sales. Your time will be split between optimizing the sales floor, time spent with customers, and bringing in new customers through social media, local events, and community partnerships.
Responsibilities- Drive sales with walk-in customers
- Bring in foot traffic through social media content, local events, and partnerships with nearby businesses and community groups
- Handle, display, and care for merchandise ranging from everyday items to high-end collectible pieces
- Attend 4–6 conventions per year for product knowledge and specialized training
- Set the standard for other employees on shift
Who You Are- You have years of solid retail sales experience and a proven track record
- You read customers well. You can tell browsing from needing help, and you know when to step in
- You close sales
- You balance your priorities. When the store is slow, you work on tasks. When customers need help, you shift to them right away.
- You manage your time well with every customer, staying friendly and helpful without letting long conversations stall your other work
- You handle merchandise with care, from everyday items to delicate, high-value collectibles
- You have strong computer skills
- You are dependable and self-motivated
- Product knowledge is a plus but not required. We'll teach you our lines.
Pay & Benefits- $20/hr starting, with growth to $25/hr based on performance
