Retail Sales Associate

As a family-owned company with over a century of expertise in crafting gourmet nuts, trail mixes, snacks, and coffee, we are seeking a detail-oriented, efficient, multi-tasking Part-Time Seasonal Retail Sales Associate. The Seasonal Retail Sales Associate is responsible for creating an exceptional holiday experience for every guest who visits Ferris Coffee & Nut Co. Working alongside our Lead Baristas and retail team members, this role provides outstanding customer service while supporting both our retail store and café during the busiest time of the year.

Seasonal Retail Sales Associates welcome customers, assist with gift selections, prepare select café beverages, process purchases, fulfill holiday gift orders, and help maintain a clean, well-stocked, and inviting store. They play an important role in helping our team deliver the warm, hospitable experience Ferris is known for throughout the holiday season.

This is a temporary, part-time position through December 31st, 2026, with shifts typically scheduled between 9:00am-3:00pm on weekdays and Saturdays.

Key Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in fulfillment, retail operations, or hospitality preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a busy seasonal environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with a positive attitude.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position involves sitting, walking and lifting less than 30 pounds for long periods of time throughout the day and up to 50 pounds on occasion. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job. This job may involve exposure to allergens.
