Job Summary

• Provide friendly, efficient customer service while assisting customers with product selection, answering questions, and completing sales transactions. Operated the cash register, handled cash and credit card payments accurately, maintained an organized and welcoming sales floor, and supported merchandising, stocking, and overall store operations. Focused on creating a positive shopping experience and building customer satisfaction.

  
  

General Accountability

• Hanging clothing and general maintenance in clothing dept.

• Stocks shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise

• Sets up advertising displays or arranges merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales

• Stamps, marks, or tags prices on merchandise

• Answers customer's questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise

• Totals price and tax on merchandise purchased by customer to determine bill

• Accepts payments

• Wraps or bags merchandise for customers

• Cleans shelves, counters, or tables

• Removes and records amount of cash in register at end of shift

• Calculates sales discount to determine price

• Keeps record of sales and prepares inventory of stock

• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Skills

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred

• Minimum Retail/Customer Service Experience: 1 year preferred
