Returns Clerk

Nesco Resource in Elizabethtown is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Returns Clerk. The Returns Clerk will be responsible for processing customer returns efficiently and accurately, ensuring customer satisfaction and inventory integrity.
First shift - Monday through Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm

• Receive and inspect returned merchandise for damages or defects.
• Verify returned items against original purchase records or receipts.
• Process returns in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Determine appropriate disposition of returned merchandise (e.g., restocking, hold, disposal).
• Update inventory records to reflect returned items and reasons for return.
• Communicate with customers regarding return status and resolution.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and warehouse, to facilitate returns process.
• Maintain a clean and organized returns processing area.
• Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Bending, stooping, and reaching.
