Revenue Planning Manager

The Gig:

The Revenue Planning Manager will be a key member of the Revenue Strategy team, owning the models, forecasts, and executive-ready materials that shape how Virgin Voyages plans and evaluates its revenue performance. This is a technical, hands-on role: the person will directly build and maintain the ticket revenue forecast model in Pigment, troubleshoot and extend the underlying data infrastructure in BigQuery, and manage the Tableau views that Revenue and Finance rely on to monitor performance. This person thrives in ambiguity, takes end-to-end ownership of complex, technically demanding work streams, and drives them to results with minimal direction. 

Responsibilities of this role center on running and enhancing the ticket revenue forecast model in Pigment, including logic changes, driver updates, and scenario builds; supporting BOD reporting cycles with accurate, well-modeled outputs; and troubleshooting the BigQuery data infrastructure that feeds Revenue's forecasting pipeline, including query optimization, data validation, and pipeline fixes as source data evolves.

The role also owns the Tableau dashboards and views used to track revenue performance, ensuring they stay accurate, performant, and aligned to how leadership consumes the data. Beyond the core forecast, this role leads strategic modeling work, including fleet growth and deployment planning. Ultimately, this role is the analytical and technical engine behind Revenue Strategy's forecasting and storytelling.

This gig is based at VVHQ - our swanky Virgin Voyages Head Office in Plantation, FL where we follow a hybrid work environment. We can't wait to 'sea' you in person during our Collaboration Days, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, while you enjoy Mondays and Fridays' as remote days.

What You'll Be Up To:

• Forecast Ownership: Run the company’s revenue forecast quarterly (with monthly refreshes) for the BOD in Pigment. This includes developing booking curves, adjusting pricing overrides, and QA/QC'ing results before they go out.

• Forecast Maintenance: Fix known forecast bugs, troubleshoot new ones using root cause analysis across Pigment and the underlying BigQuery data pipeline, and manage SaaS vendor partnerships for troubleshooting support. 
• Strategic Modeling: Build and maintain the deployment model for future itinerary planning, the fleet growth model for capacity planning, and the repeat sailor model for CLTV and retention insights.
• Model Enhancements: Implement pricing curves for booking-week-level forecasting, restructure meta-itineraries, automate booking curve generation, and expand scenario testing capabilities on our forecasting tool, Pigment.
• Data Infrastructure: Troubleshoot and maintain the BigQuery pipelines feeding the forecast, and own the Tableau views and dashboards Revenue and Finance use to monitor performance and track forecast accuracy. 
• BOD Deck & Executive Storytelling: Develop the BOD storyline and narrative, align with stakeholders pre-BOD, generate forecast views and booking outlays for Commercial and Finance teams, and finalize slides in executive-ready form.
• Ad-Hoc Support: Respond to BOD and leadership forecast questions, run "what-if" scenarios on revenue and deployment, prepare investor materials, and build custom forecast views for leadership and other teams on request.
• Regular Updates: Explain forecast variances and methodology to internal teams.
• Other duties as assigned

Superpowers Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in revenue strategy, financial planning & analysis, management consulting, or a related quantitative field
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience querying and troubleshooting data in BigQuery or a comparable cloud data warehouse
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining models in Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, or a comparable enterprise planning/forecasting platform
• Working knowledge of Tableau or a comparable BI tool — able to build, troubleshoot, and maintain dashboards
• Strong quantitative and analytical skillset — comfortable working deep in financial models, data pipelines, and forecasting logic
• Ownership & autonomy — thrives in ambiguous environments and drives complex, technically demanding workstreams to results with minimal direction
• Proactivity & curiosity — doesn't wait to be asked; spots problems, asks questions, and surfaces opportunities before they become issues
