    Position Title: DIRECTOR, RISK & CONTROLS

    Pay Grade: 18

    Other Forms of Compensation: BONUS

    Job Summary

    The Director, Risk & Controls - Safety leads the organization's safety risk management, compliance, and internal controls programs. This role is responsible for identifying and mitigating safety risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening governance processes, and driving a culture of safety across the organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and oversee enterprise safety risk and controls frameworks.
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and workplace safety risks.
    • Monitor compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations.
    • Lead safety audits, inspections, investigations, and corrective action programs.
    • Establish safety metrics, risk indicators, and executive reporting.
    • Partner with business leaders to improve safety performance and risk management practices.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote a proactive safety culture.
    • Lead and develop a team of safety, risk, and controls professionals.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Risk Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
    • 10+ years of experience in safety, risk management, compliance, or internal controls.
    • 5+ years of leadership experience.
    • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, and control frameworks.
    • Relevant certifications (CSP, CRM, CIA, CRISC, or similar) preferred.
