Risk Management AnalystDepartment: OperationsEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: Huntington YMCAReporting To: Jeremy StilesCompensation: $18.00 - $20.00 / hourDescriptionUnder the supervision of the Vice President of Risk Management, this position is responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of risk management strategies. The analyst will work closely with our risk management team to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks that could impact the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesData input and analysis.Assist in the identification and analysis of potential risks affecting the organization.Conduct risk assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of existing risk management processes.Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies and action plans.Participate in the preparation of risk reports and presentations for senior leadership.Monitor and analyze risk trends and provide insights to improve risk management practices.Assist in maintaining and updating the risk management database and documentation.Collaborate with various departments to gather information and ensure compliance with risk management policies.Support the team in conducting risk management training sessions and workshops.Maintain a professional image and manner consistent with the YMCA mission and goals at all times.Perform other duties as assigned to support the risk management team.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseEducation and Other Preferred Experience:Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related fieldStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPointAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAttention to detail and strong organizational skillsPrior internship or coursework related to risk management is a plusPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Ability to physically and verbally interact with members and staffMay be required to sit or stand for extended period of timeAt times, be able to lift amounts up to 50 lbsWork Environment:The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.Required YMCA training/certifications:Child Abuse Prevention (within first four weeks of employment)Respect in the Workplace (Sexual Harassment Prevention)CPR, First Aid, O2BenefitsWhy work at the Y?The YMCA of Greater Boston is an incredible place to have a fulfilling career or enjoy part-time employment — all while we are supporting and strengthening our communities, because our community is our cause.
