Job Description:
The Ambulatory Telephone Triage Nurse plays a crucial role in providing timely and efficient healthcare support to patients by telephone. The Telephone triage nurse provides timely and accurate assessment of a patient's symptoms and utilizes critical thinking, nursing judgement, and approved decision support tools to provide appropriate nursing advice and determine the level of care required. This is a hybrid remote position that requires a minimum of one on-site shift per week. RNs must meet all eligibility criteria prior to transitioning to hybrid remote status.
Education:
Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program - Required
Bachelor's Degree Nursing - Preferred
Experience:
1 Year Acute Care Hospital - Preferred
1 Year Ambulatory, triage, or medical office experience - Preferred
1 Year Telephone Triage - Preferred
Certifications/Licensures:
RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing - Required
BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
Skills
Evenings and weekends may be required

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Able to work well independently
Functions well in a high-stress environment
Sound critical thinking
Effective time management and organization skills
Empathetic with the ability to develop trust with patients
Bilingual in English/Spanish- preferred

08.0 Per Diem No Waive (United States of America)
Pay Range:
$75.28 - $101.62
Hourly
Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word 'exempt' on it.
