Overview Prepares patients for surgery by performing diagnostic tests required by the surgeon and anesthesiologist, documenting past medical/surgical history and current home medications, and reporting abnormal results to the appropriate person (surgeon, nurse practitioner, anesthesia evaluator, etc.). The pre-admission RN also prepares patients for the cath lab and other hospital admissions.
Qualifications Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
Education: • BSN preferred • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Alabama license required
Experience: • Prefer three years of varied clinical experience as an RN
