Luther Acres is a highly rated skilled nursing operation providing cutting-edge and high-quality health care services for elders in the Lititz community.What will I do as the Director of Nursing?The primary purpose of this role is to plan, direct, and supervise nursing service personnel in the delivery of high-quality geriatric resident care. This role ensures continuity of 24-hour nursing services in compliance with federal and Pennsylvania regulations, as well as Luthercare' s standards and mission of compassionate care.Manage and oversee nursing services to ensure efficient staffing and high standards of resident care.Develop, implement, and monitor nursing care standards in line with federal, state, and Luthercare policies.Conduct rounds, lead nursing staff meetings, and review reports to ensure clinical compliance and quality assurance.Interview, hire, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff.Provide coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action as appropriate.Oversee attendance, staffing patterns, and payroll/human resources documentation.Coordinate ongoing staff education, in-service training, and clinical competency programs.Ensure current licensure and certifications of all nursing personnel.Develop and manage the nursing department budget.Supervise the admissions and discharge process.Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality assurance/performance improvement (QAPI) committees.Investigate and resolve resident and family concerns in a timely and compassionate manner.Perform nursing duties within the scope of RN licensure as needed.Uphold standards of infection control, fall prevention, and resident safety.Lead and coordinate interdisciplinary team meetings.Encourage and maintain residents' independence, dignity, and confidentiality.Qualifications:Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.Active CPR requiredMinimum of two (2) years' experience as a Director of Nursing in a nursing care setting, including a working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing long-term care with managing and supervising nursing personnel.Working knowledge of Point Click CareWhy Choose Eklego?As a Nursing professional, your skills are highly sought after, and you have many options.
