The RN ECMO Specialist performs Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) therapy to support patients with impaired heart and lung function. The RN serves as an advocate for patients and supports an unparalleled patient experience.
Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
Prepare and operate clinical equipment and circuitry per ECMO policies.
Maintain and assess ECMO circuit function.
Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and recommend revisions to the multidisciplinary care team.
Certifications & Clearance Requirements:
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
